Our Story

Laeba was founded in late 2018 by Lamath, whose love for fashion began at a very young age. She learned to stitch as a child and later grew her creativity through fashion design and makeup artistry.

With a passion for dressing in a modern yet modest way, Lamath created Laeba to bring stylish modest fashion to women in the Maldives. Laeba became the first dedicated modest wear shop in the Maldives and today stands as one of the country’s leading modest fashion brands. In 2025, Laeba was also proudly recognized as a finalist at the MSME Awards.

Our collections bring together the best of both local craftsmanship and international fashion. Laeba operates its own production facility on a local island, where selected dresses are designed and stitched, while we also carefully source unique pieces from India, Turkey, China, Malaysia and the UAE.

Beyond fashion, the Laeba family also includes Glow by Laeba, extending our passion for beauty, femininity and self-expression.

From the very beginning, our vision has remained simple — to create and curate fashion that allows women to feel modest, modern, confident and beautifully themselves.
